Using Online Services

Please complete registration form and bring this into the practice along with a valid form of identification, for example photo ID or your passport. You MUST have a valid email address for every member of your family that wishes to use this service. It may be some items don't appear on your prescription reorder form, please order these as a message on your request and remember to advise us which pharmacy local to the health centre will be collection your prescription from. It is important to tell your pharmacy you have a prescription that they need to collect.

Collecting your prescription

You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after you have ordered it.

To ease the pressure on pharmacies please only order medication that is due. Also order 7 days before you run out to allow pharmacies time to process.

If you have ordered a prescription and have nominated a chemist to pick up please check with them if your prescription is available before you contact the practice.

You may find it more convenient to use the post if you do not live near the health centre as we do not post out pescriptions. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope for us to send out your script.

You can choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

  • on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
  • at your GP practice
  • at any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions

Find a pharmacy (nhs24.scot)

Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment.

Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.

Some pharmacies offer an order and collect service from the practice. Check with your local pharmacy if this is something that would be convenient for you. Pharmacies also offer a dossette box for patient on regular medication who may need help with remembering to take these. Speak to your local pharmacy of you think this is of benefit to you or a member of your extended family.
